How can I report a failure?

Reporting failures allows for entering into the system failures related to assets (equipments and tools), for a subsequent monitoring and handling by maintenance. It is only possible to create a failure associated with a work order.
To create a failure, select the Work | Work | Work Orders, and the work orders list is presented.
  1. In the work orders list select the work order to which you wish to associate the failure.
  2. In viewing or edit mode, press the button "operations" (down) and select the option "Failures".
  3. The list of all failures associated to the selected work order will be presented.
  4. Press the button "Create"
When creating or editing failures, you must consider the following points:
  1.  It is only possible to create failures, if the Work Order state allows to record work;
  2.  It is not possible to create Failures with a future failure date
  3. By default, the field equipment/tool is filled in with the equipment/tool of the work order;
  4. If the Work Order is for a Route, select the asset type and fill in the corresponding field (equipment or tool)
  5. If the Work Order is for a Route, select any Route equipment/tool, or any descendent;
  6. The equipment/tool can be changed to a child equipment/tool of the Work Order, or any descendent;
  7. Failure typification
    1. In the typifications tab, you can associate symptoms, causes and actions
    2. If the equipment/tool family has configured failure typification, it is only possible to select symptoms, causes and failures for that family. Otherwise, any symptom, cause and action can be selected
    3. It is not possible to specify equal symptoms, causes and actions on the same failure
It is only possible to delete failures if the Work Order state allows to record work.
Fill in the failure data. The information to be filled in is organized in tabs. You can see the required fields using the orange margin or from the list on the right lower corner, next to the Reset button;
