How to load batch locations?

The locations can be inserted from individual records or through batch records by importing .csv files.
To load batch locations, select the option Settings| General | File Import:
  1. The import screen is displayed;
  1. Download the template file to be loaded, on the upper part of the screen;
  2. Later, you must fill in the file according to the rules.
    1. The fields LocationKey,Description, and Company must be defined.
    2. If the fields Criticality and CriticalityDescription are defined, the criticality will be created if it doesn't exist, or it will be updated, if it exists. It also happens with the Location Function, having the LocationFunction and LocationFunctionDescription fields as reference.
    3. If the field Criticality is filled in, you must also fill in the field CriticalityDescription, to create or update the criticality successfully.
    4. If the field LocationFunction is filled in, you must also fill in the field LocationFunctionDescription, to create or update the location function successfully.
    5. If the record contains the field ParentLocation filled in, this parent location must be in the file or already recorded on the product, otherwise, the location cannot be added to the product.
    6. If the location is already recorded on the product and is on the loading file, this validation is performed by the location key, the location is updated.
    7. When the import is finished, the import date will be presented, and it might (or not) contain messages with import details. If an import occurs without errors/warnings, no information on the import details will be presented. If there are errors/warnings, you can see the errors by clicking on the number of messages.
    8. The column OnServiceDate format must be text, and it must always contain 2 digits for the day, 2 digits for the month and 4 digits for the year. Ex: 01/07/2020.If the date is before the current date, the location will be automatically available.
    9. The attachments must be stored on the Dropbox, on GoogleDrive or on another storage service that provides a direct download link.
    10. The equipment image must be stored on the Dropbox, on GoogleDrive or on another storage service that provides a direct download link.
When filling in the file, you must consider the following fields:
  1. The file must always be of the CSV type and the separator character must be ; (semicolon).
  2. The record limit per file is 2000.
  3. The average upload time for images and attachments is 1,3 seconds, however, this time can vary with the file size, the internet speed, the storage service and other factors external to Valuekeep.
You must not remove or add columns to the downloaded template.
