How to import preventive maintenances?

The Preventive Maintenances can be inserted from individual records or through batch records by importing .xml files.

To load batch preventive maintenances, select the option "Settings | General | File Imports" or using the Preventive Maintenances list (Work | Preventive Maintenances) by selecting the option "Prev. Maint. Management".
  1. The import screen is displayed;
  2. Select the option Import Preventive Maintenances;
  3. Download the template file to be loaded, on the upper part of the screen;
  4. You must fill in the file according to the rules:
    1. The fields Id, PreventiveMaintenance, Description, and WOType must be defined.
    2. If the field Id is not filled in, the row will be ignored.
    3. When the import is finished, the import date will be presented, and it might (or not) contain messages with import details. If an import occurs without errors/warnings, no information on the import details will be presented. If there are errors/warnings, you can see the errors by clicking on the message icon.
    4. The links of the files on the columns Attachment1, Attachment2…Attachment10 must be added. Each record has a limit of 10 attachments, and if that value is updated, the attachments are not added. For example: the preventive already has 4 attachments, only 6 more attachments will be added, even if the file contains 10.
    5. If you reimport the file, the preventive maintenances attachments will be added, regardless of having been added in another import.
    6. The attachments must be stored on the Dropbox, on GoogleDrive or on another storage service that provides a direct download link.
When filling in the file, you must consider the following fields:
  1. The file must always be of the XML type;
  2. Each file cannot have more than 100 records;
  3. You must only specify the field 'Company' if you have more than one company in your subscription;
  4. The average upload time for attachments is 1.3 seconds, however, this time can vary with the file size, the internet speed, the storage service and other factors external to Valuekeep.

You must not remove or add columns to the downloaded template.
