How to create assets?

The creation of Assets is a critical step for the configuration of the system. These are the assets which will be subject to maintenance.

To create an equipment/tool, select the option Assets | Equipment or Assets | Tool:

1. The list of equipment or tools is presented;
   
2. On the list, press the button "create".
   

There are a few rules to edit assets, among them:
 - It is only possible to edit the service date if there is no failure or down time reports.

 

Equipment or Tool Characteristics:

1. In the Characteristics tab, you can assign one or more characteristics. These can be of the following types:
   
1. Number;
   
2. Text;
   
3. Date/Time;
   
4. Boolean;
   
5. Enum.
   
2. When saving the record, the following validations regarding the characteristics are made:
   
1. No repeated characteristics can exist
   
2. Number type characteristics:  checks if the text inserted on the Value field is a number. The number of decimal places associated to that characteristics unit is also checked, as well as if the tab matches the user language;
   
3. Date/time type characteristics:  checks if the text inserted on the Value field is a date and/or a time.
   
4. Boolean type characteristics: checks if the text inserted on the Value field is 0 for False and 1 for True;
   
5. Enum type characteristics:  checks if the Enum value matches the values for the selected characteristic.
   

Working time (hours per day): You can only insert values between 0 and 23:59:59.

If the asset was not created as Available, after the Service Date, the asset is placed automatically as available.

To automatically make it available, you must select the option "Settings | Work | Background Services" and activate the Downtime.

When creating a new asset, this is placed as "Available" and the "Service Date" is set as the current day.
