How to calculate the weighted average cost?
The weighted average cost price is calculated
when parts enter into stock.
To enter a part stock, you must access the
warehouse tab "Inventory parts | Warehouses", select the warehouse
you want to enter stock.
The calculation follows this formula:
[(Current Stock x Current WACP) + (Stock Entry
x Price Entry)] / (Current Stock + Stock Entry)
Current stock: Existing stock in the warehouse before the entry of parts stock;
WACP: Weighted
average cost price;
Price entry: Price of the part at the stock entry;
Stock entry: Stock of the part at the stock entry;
